A final hurrah!

As the Summer was quickly coming to an end, we decided that we needed one last hurrah to send it out in style. Not too far away from us is a great amusement park called Silverwood. It's not the size of Disneyland, but it was absolutely perfect for the ages in our family! As a matter of fact, in addition to the amusement park, they also have a water park that is included in your admission, so next time we might plan 2 days so that we can take advantage of that as well. Because Silverwood is about a 5 hour drive, we split up our travels by staying with Eric's family along the way. It was a great way to hit two birds with one stone - a mini vacation and a trip to see family. All in all, we had a fabulous time and it definitely felt like we got to have one last fling before returning to the regimented schedule of the school year.
The favorite ride of the day! The kids loved getting wet and shooting water at other riders!

Katie's expression as she realized how fast the roller coaster really that she was about to get on really was!
