Happy Birthday Aidan (just a bit late! :))

For Aidan's 5th birthday this year, we were able to celebrate in two very special ways! First we were able to celebrate with our extended family with a trip to Great Wolf Lodge ~ one of Aidan's all time favorite places! We were then able to celebrate with his good friends at GameWorks ~ playing video games, which is Aidan's all time favorite past time! :) I have to admit that I was afraid that GameWorks would be a bit old for a group of 5 year olds, but I took a leap of faith and booked it sight unseen. I have to admit that it was one of our favorite parties ~ and I think a great time was had by all!! Happy Birthday buddy (very late!) I can't believe you are getting so big, but I love every minute I have been able to spend with you and look forward to many many more great celebrations!

Our 1st Snow Day!

I am WAY behind on my blogging, but I am determined not to get out of order or miss any important posts, so I am going to just start blogging where I left off! :) Thanksgiving week brought more excitement than just family and turkey! Monday morning of Thanksgiving week bought us our first sign that we were in for some snowy fun! The kids made it through school on Monday (it was only a 1/2 day for Katie because of scheduled conferences) but the rest of the week ended up being an extended Thanksgiving vacation ~ thanks to mother nature! The only downside with this snow was that it was too fine for snowmen, much to the dismay of the kids dismay, but they were still able to find a way to create some decent snowballs! We had a great time as a family playing in the snow ~ the first time for Mylie ~ since last year was such a mild winter and didn't bring us any of the good old white stuff. We learned quickly that our girls are much like their mom and don't have much patience for getting cold, and Aidan is much like daddy and likes to play tricks on his sisters and create some mayhem in the name of fun (note my comment about snowballs!). I was very impressed with Eric who had surgery on his foot/ankle the week before and still came outside to play in his crutches and boot! What a good dad!!

I love this picture ~ not sure why his is blowing on the snowball though....

Love these two!

All bundled up and enjoying the ride
