Both Katie and Mylie love to dance! Katie has always been our little dancer, very graceful and full of coordination. She has been dancing since she was 2 years old and loves every minute of it! She had become tired of tap and ballet and this year tried Jazz, and I think we have found a winner! Katie loves to dance to modern music while having more freedom in her dance style. She also took a tap class this year (tap alone, not combined with ballet) and liked it, but has decided to not continue that class at this time.
Mylie started dance this year ~ also at age 2 ~ and is completely in love. She started with a class called Creative Movement which is basically a class for little ones to get them interested in dance and learning to move to the music. She had a GREAT teacher and would ask every day if it was time for dance class. :) In June both girls had their dance recitals. Katie had her recitals for both Jazz and Tap, while Mylie had her Creative Movement recital. Both girls did amazing and were absolutely darling!! We are so proud of both of them!
I know I have blogged about this in the past, but Katie LOVES cheerleading! From the time she was 2 years old, she has been saying that she wants to be a cheerleader when she grows up. :) She has now moved on to wanting to be a teacher for her profession, but she still wants to be a cheerleader in high school. Our local high school has cheer camps for football and basketball season, and Katie had a blast at this basketball camp - especially since her best friend took the camp with her, in addition to her best buddy - her cousin Bri. Such cute girls!
